In the small Bulgarian town of Beloslav, near the Black sea city of Varna, an international crew is building the boat of our ancestors . Following the steps of one of world’s most renowned adventurers Thor Heyerdahl, Dominique Görlitz - a German experimental archaeologist, known primarily as a "Stone Age sailor" is extending his work now to prove that trade journeys between Egypt and other civilizations on the Black sea cost were possible with Egyptian papyrus sailing vessels. That is why a boat is being build of Bolivian Totora reed. The process is led by two experienced boatbuilders from the Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, part of the famous Aymara family Limach, who have build vessels not only for previous Abora expeditions but also for Thor Heyerdahl. When finished, the crew is about to travel the distance from Varna, passing through Istanbul, Athens, Crete sailing towards Alexandria, distance approx. 3.000 km on that reed boat and prove Herodotous right – that ancient Egyptians built their pyramids with iron tools and that they imported their iron from Black sea civilizations, Beloslav, Bulgaria on June 18, 2019
