Chamar claims that he is unaware of what happens afterward and that he regains consciousness in Sitamarhi. He receives treatment at a hospital there, incurring expenses of INR 350,000. Chamar claims that when he goes to the police office to give a statement, Alam's men threaten his mother, saying her son is gone and wouldn't survive long. Chamar also files a complaint in connection with the incident, but the high court dismisses his complaint and statement as evidence. The court notes that the hospital prescription indicates injuries from a stove explosion, not a bomb blast.
