A large group of Sikhs assembled outside a venue where celebrations for India's 66th Republic Day were taking place to show their discontent with the Indian government. The Khalistan movement seeks to create a separate Sikh state, called Khalistan in the Punjab region of India and has been a controversial topic. As well the issue of Kashmir has long been a hot-button issue for many Indians, many of whom feel strongly that their government should work towards resolving the issue. ---
