Anitta, Brazilian pop singer Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 4th February 2016. Special Coordination of Sexual Diversity and the Municipal Health Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro launch action to prevent sexually transmitted diseases during Carnival. This year's campaign with the participation of the singer Anitta, a popular pop singer in Brazil. Anitta has among its young fans aged between 13 and 19 years old, the population group most infected with the AIDS virus, HIV, according to the Ministry of Health information. The campaign will feature wide publicity in the media outlets and carnival celebration sites. pamphlets will be distributed condoms and T-shirts with information on the prevention of HIV, HPV and other diseases. Hospitals and health units of the City Hall will have special duty during the carnival to offer PEP - Post-Exposure Prophylaxis in cases where there was an accidental exposure to sex without a condom. The campaign also aims to protect the rights of homosexuals, with the project "River of No Prejudice" which is supported by municipal law prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in shops or public offices in Rio de Janeiro. The population also receive promotional materials and guidelines to combat the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which causes Zika Virus, Dengue and chikungunya fever.
