The new S-Bahn trains serve as a model at IAA Mobility in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, on September 13, 2025. The new suburban trains enter service at the end of 2028. They feature a white and blue ''Bahnland Bayern'' design with yellow and natural tones inside. Equipment includes wider seating, USB-C outlets, Wi-Fi, mobile-permeable windows, and air-conditioning for up to 45 degrees. Clear boarding zones, level access, digital displays, and exterior LED line colors are provided for orientation and accessibility. The design is developed with input from passengers, associations, and political representatives.
