The driverless autonomous shuttle ''Cheonggye A01'' operates on a trial basis along Cheonggyecheon in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea, on September 23, 2025. The ''Cheonggye A01'' is a domestically developed autonomous bus equipped with a large display showing driving status and operation information, as well as a wheelchair boarding lift. It is the first driverless autonomous bus without a steering wheel or driver's seat to operate in Seoul. The shuttle carries up to eight passengers at a time, with a safety operator on board to handle emergencies. It operates on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4:50 p.m., running 11 times a day at 30-minute intervals. The Seoul Metropolitan Government announces that the service is initially free of charge, with paid operations expected to begin in the first half of next year.
