While inside the smoke shop, the victim is involved in a verbal altercation with two suspects. The altercation turns physical when a 38-year-old man produces a firearm and fires multiple gunshots in the victim's direction. The 42-year-old man sustains four gunshot wounds to his chest, one gunshot wound to his head, and one gunshot wound to his back. The victim is pronounced dead on the scene. The 38-year-old male suspect sustains a gunshot wound to his left hand, is placed in custody, and is transported to Christ Hospital in good condition. The second suspect flees westbound on 71st Street on foot and is not in custody.
