Balinese are getting ready for welcoming the Silent Day which will be held on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017. To celebrate the holy day which is also as a marker for Caka New Year, they held a Ceremony named Melasti, prayed on the edge of Petitenget Beach, Kerobokan on Saturday, March 25th, 2017. Balinese do this ceremony in all around beaches in Bali, where water as the symbol of purification, to cleanse the world from all the filth of sin and bad karma. By doing Melasti Ceremony, they hope they will be a better person for the new year.

Local Hindu devotees perform the spiritual path to purify their souls from sin at the Tirta Empul temple in Tampaksiring, Bali, on February 9, 2016.
