Vaccination dry runs start at three sites in West Bengal -- one in the city and the others in North 24 Parganas -- on Saturday, as part of the national preparatory exercise before the imminent rollout. At The health centre (UPHC) in Duttabad in Kolkata city on January 02,2021. Health department sources indicated that about 25 beneficiaries could be part of the dummy exercise at each of the three sites. The department has conducted, and still conducting, training programmes for personnel at various levels, who will be involved in the vaccination programme, in anticipation of the vaccine rollout. Cold chain handlers from 43 cold chain points in Kolkata, including those from medical colleges and hospitals, will also undergo skill upgrade training between January 4 and 8.
