Two young people set fire outside the National Palace in Mexico City, where mothers and fathers of the 43 missing normal school students from Ayotzinapa in Mexico, and dozens of groups, protested to demand justice and the appearance of the young people after 9 years of their disappearance that night of September 26, 2014, who were attacked by state and municipal police and elements of the Mexican army and since then nothing has been known about their whereabouts.

The encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's has entered its fifth day, on September 17, 2023. Thousands of soldiers, including paracommandos, are still engaged in a never-ending shootout deep. In an effort to neutralize the terrorists, three officers--two from the Army and one from the police--were killed in the encounter during the battle that has now lasted more than 100 hours. The death toll in the Anantnag encounter has climbed to four after police found the body of one more missing soldier on Friday. The other slain senior Army officers and the DSP were identified as Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, and Humayun Bhat. The encounter broke out on Wednesday, September 13, and the ongoing gunfight between a combined team of security personnel from the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police and terrorists in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district.

Two people are dead and another two remain missing after a house exploded in Buena, New Jersey, United States on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in the area of Southwest Boulevard according to police. Authorities are continuing to search for the missing and are investigating the incident on August 4, 2023. A young child and a teenager suffered burn injuries in the explosion, police said. Police responded to reports of a house fire around 10:35 a.m. Thursday in the South Jersey town of Buena. The incident was confirmed to have been an explosion. A 1-year-old girl was flown to the hospital in critical condition, a 16-year-old girl was also flown to the hospital and is in stable condition. Four other people are believed to have been in the house at the time of the explosion, a 2.5-year-old boy, a 3.5-year-old girl, a 52-year-old man and a 73-year-old man. Two bodies have been recovered from the debris, though authorities are unable to determine their ages, genders or races. The investigation continues. The incident is being treated as a criminal investigation.

On 13 February 2023, search crews continued to dig through the rubble of collapsed buildings to find missing people in Nurdagi, a small city in the Gaziantep province of Turkey.
