The 44th traditional Fox Hunt in Ecuador, in Ibarra, Ecuador, on Ocotber 8, 2016. This fox hunt is held every year in Ibarra, in northern Ecuador, and is unique competition. The hunt is a mixture of popular holiday and sport, held in celebration of 410 years of the Spanish foundation of Ibarra. The activity has three parts, the first, a parade of marching bands, binomials floats and equestrian clubs, takes place though the downtown streets of the city. After this parade, binomials must go through a set of very pronounced natural rocks. And finally, in the afternoon is the pursuit of the fox on the shores of Lake Yahuarcocha. This test of speed involves a journey of two kilometers and participants are divided into six categories: children, youth, amateur, adult, master and elite, where anyone can participate with race horses and mestizos. The Zorro character uses black colored clothing, consisting of a coat, hat, and a mask similar to the fictional character created by writer Johnston McCulley for his novel The Curse of the Capistrano.

The 2015 Women's World Cup Championship team was honored with a ticker-tape parade down Broadway, through the Canyon of Heroes. The parade route has traditionally been reserved for honoring military achievements, international dignitaries, and New York sports champions. This is the first nation women's team to be given a parade in New York.
