On June 28, 2023, the National Bureau of Statistics released data, from January to May, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved business income of 51.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.1%. In the first five months of this year, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size in China reached 2,668.89 billion yuan, down 18.8% year on year and 1.8 percentage points lower than that in the first four months of this year.
