An indian roadside begger cooks food on a temporary wooden stove as as he burns wood and coal to prepare food,in Allahabad on June 13,2015. The poverty line in India measures only the most basic calorie intake, recording not nutrition but only the satiation of hunger. At present the poverty line stands at Rs 368 and Rs 559 per person per month for rural and urban areas, just about enough to buy 650 grams of foodgrains every day. A nutritious diet itself would cost around Rs 573 per capita per month, let alone the cost of securing other basic needs. When such an inclusive measure of poverty is used, as many as 68-84% of Indians would qualify as poor.

Another consequence of the war. People looking into rubbish for basic needs like toys for kids, lamp, etc. On April 6 2015, we visit Krasnogorovka. What we saw is the evident beginning of a serious humanitarian crisis. People living in unhealthy conditions, surround by mountains of rubbish, deficient water system, no windows, electricity, etc. We visit the city with the help of Pastor Vladimir Ivanov, director of the NGO « Good News Church ». Krasnogorovka is under control of Ukrainian army and it is a small suburb west of the separatist stronghold city of Donetsk. If the city is calmed, population on the limit of the town have to be aware of the presence of snipers 800 meters away in the separatist zone. Pastor Ivanov go to Krasnogorovka once a week to bring food, clothes, candy for kids in a city that is let to itself. We saw elderly people starving from having not eat for several days. I even spoke to a mother of three children who has absolutely any income beside the humanitarian aids that the Pastor and other donors are bringing to the town. The photos of this reportage show the living condition of a population who already suffer a lot from a war that no one can predict when it is going to end.
