According to science report , the town is been sinking by 10cm every year since last decade , but a massive event took place as the town sank over 5 cm is span of few days , between 27th Dec and 8th Jan . This rapid development is assumed to be due to unplanned construction, over-population, obstruction of the natural flow of water and hydel power activities.
