NYPD police officers work the scene where a 34-year-old man is fatally shot in the area of 710 Croes Avenue within the confines of the 43 Precinct/PSA 8 in Bronx, New York, United States, on August 26, 2025. On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:11 PM, police respond and discover a 34-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responds and transports the male to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. This is the second fatal shooting in the Bronx on Tuesday.

The MoHP recommends staying indoors unless necessary, wearing masks during travel, and avoiding highly polluted areas.
