WGN is filing an appeal with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul's office, and in a rare binding opinion dated Feb. 9, the attorney general is ordering Dolton to release the credit card statements, along with other requested documents. Workmen are mounting scaffolding around the 17th century, 95ft-tall bronze canopy by Giovan Lorenzo Bernini, which surmounts the papal Altar of the Confession in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. They are starting a year-long, 700,000 euro restoration of the monumental baldacchino, or canopy, of St. Peter's Basilica, committing to complete the first comprehensive work on Bernini's masterpiece in 250 years before Pope Francis' big 2025 Jubilee.
