A Nepali health professional administers the dosage of the ''Human Papillomavirus'' (HPV) vaccine to a student at a school in Kathmandu, Nepal, on February 10, 2026. The Ministry of Health and Population instructs all bodies to complete the inoculation drive within three weeks starting this week to prevent any halts or pauses due to the parliamentary elections scheduled for March 5. With about three weeks left for the parliamentary elections after the political upheaval, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign continues across Nepal. According to the Child Health and Vaccination Branch of the Department of Health Services, vaccination begins for girls studying in grade 6 and out-of-school girls aged 10 years and above. During the campaign, girls currently studying in grades 7 to 10 and out-of-school girls aged 11 to 14 who missed out on last year's HPV vaccination campaign will also be vaccinated. Girls studying in grade 6 are vaccinated at schools and other girls at vaccination centers.

Members of Syrian government forces wait to begin moving along a road in the countryside near the city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria on February 2, 2026. A curfew is imposed in Hasakah on that day, amid expectations that government forces will enter parts of the city under an integration agreement with the Kurdish forces, which provides for the gradual incorporation of Kurdish military and civilian institutions into state structures.
