Tens of thousands of citizens are holding placards and chanting slogans at a rally on Sejong-daero in Seoul, South Korea, on May 25, 2024, calling for the passage of the Private Chae Special Prosecutor Act and condemning its veto. The rally, organized by National Emergency Action to Reject the Veto, a coalition of 84 civil society organizations including the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy and Lawyers for a Democratic Society, and supported by seven opposition parties (Democratic Party of Korea, Rebuilding Korea Party, Justice Party, Progressive Party, New Progressive Union, and Social Democratic Party), is taking place at 3 PM in front of Seoul Station. This large-scale protest, the first since President Yoon's veto on May 21, is aiming to pressure the government and ruling party ahead of the National Assembly's vote on May 28 to reconsider the Private Chae Special Prosecutor Act

The Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) is presenting the electoral materials that will be used for various elected positions in the capital on June 2, 2024. They are informing that these materials will be placed in the 13,500 polling stations set up on voting day in Mexico City. The tools, which have been in use for more than 20 years, have been reused in previous elections or in the Participatory Budget, saving between 90 and 120 million pesos, which is the cost that would have been incurred if new ones were purchased, according to the institute's authorities.
