Young people gather on the Hackerbrucke in Munich, Bavaria, to view the sunset. This iconic bridge, which connects the central bus station (ZOB) to the S-Bahn network, is a popular spot for locals and visitors to relax and observe the evening sky. The Hackerbrucke, spanning the railway tracks in front of Munich Central Station, offers a unique vantage point of the city with panoramic views. As the sun dips below the horizon, it illuminates the bridge. However, in a few years, this landmark will face a significant change. Due to rust-related issues, the Hackerbrucke is set to close for extensive repairs and renovations in 2027. The closure, expected to last nearly three years, will temporarily alter the scene at this popular spot, which is a symbol of Munich's blend of urban infrastructure and natural features. For now, young people continue to gather for its sunsets, making memories before the closure.
