Every year, on 24/25 May, Roma people (Gypsies) are meeting in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Camargue, France, to venerate Saint Sarah and the Three Marys. A medieval legendary account had Mary Magdalene, Mary of Cleopas and Mary Salomè, the Three Marys at the Tomb, with Saint Sarah, the maid of one of them, as part of a group who landed near Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Camargue, after a voyage from the Holy Land. The group sometimes includes Lazarus, who became bishop of Aix-en-Provence, and Joseph of Arimathea. The relics of Mary Magdalene are stored in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume.
