The vessel arrives in the city for its official christening ceremony and a public open-day presentation for residents, ahead of its planned entry into regular service. Built at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdansk, Jantar Unity is a modern passenger and freight ferry equipped with LNG dual-fuel engines supported by a battery hybrid system and is operated by Unity Line as part of the POLSCA brand consolidating Polish ferry operations on the Baltic Sea, serving routes between Poland and Sweden.

Workers of a barbershop and smoke shop clean up debris and damage outside and inside the storefronts following an incident where multiple suspects reportedly use a Molotov cocktail in an arson attack at 131 Christopher St. within the confines of the sixth precinct in Manhattan, New York, United States, on December 3, 2025. The incident transpires on Wednesday morning at approximately 3:11 AM, and it is reported that a device is used in the arson. An investigation is currently underway by the FDNY and the New York City Police Department as they establish a security cordon to search for those who commit the crime. It is unknown at this time what type of device it is; however, numerous sources report it is a Molotov cocktail. Several investigators are on the scene where numerous windows at a barbershop are shattered and broken. Evidence markers line the street at the scene of the crime.
