January 13th, Amsterdam. As in years past, there are No Pants Subway Rides happening in dozens of cities around the world on January 13, the same day as their annual event in New York. The No Pants Subway Ride is an annual event staged by Improv Everywhere every January in New York City. The idea behind No Pants is simple: Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants behave as if they do not know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.January 13th, Amsterdam. São Paulo, Brazil; Jan 19th 2016 - For the forth time since last week, thousands of people protested in São Paulo, Brazil, against the raise in public transport fares, from R$ 3,50 to R$ 3,80. The demonstration was called by MPL (Free Pass Movement, in the portuguese acronym) and, after a brief concentration in the Pinheiros neighborhood, splitted into two: a group walked to the city hall (the city of São Paulo is responsible for the buses); another, smaller one, to the governor’s palace (the state of Sao Paulo holds the train and subway transport systems). At total, nearly 8.000 people rallied trough west side and downtown São Paulo
