Diego, like his classmates have inherited an extra copy of chromosome 21, which allows his body and brain to process information in a different way under this condition. A few weeks before the Festival and National Reign of Bambuco number 59 in the city of Neiva, Colombia, on 11 May 2019, Diego Jesus Hueje Arias, his mother Amparo Arias, his companions and dance partners are prepared with their best steps and costumes to shine in this day of dance, music and tradition.
