Sunset views from Sperry Chalet in Glacier National Park, Montana, United States, on September 7, 2025. Visitors gather on the rocky ledges outside the historic backcountry lodge to watch the sun sink behind the smoky horizon. Lingering Canadian wildfire smoke mutes the colors but enhances the layered silhouettes of surrounding ridges and valleys. The chalet, rebuilt after the 2017 Sprague Fire, remains one of the park's most iconic destinations, offering sweeping alpine views and a rare opportunity to experience the wilderness overnight.
