More than three hundred members of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) are released on bail after serving 16 years of imprisonment in the explosive case of the BDR killing in Pilkhana in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on January 23, 2025. 178 BDR members are released from Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj. On February 25 and 26, 2009, 74 people, including 57 army officers, are killed in a mutiny at the headquarters of the Border Guard Force in Pilkhana, Dhaka.
