Environmental activists from Enter Nusantara, Market Force, and Greenpeace Indonesia, who are part of the Civil Society Coalition, are performing a theatrical action on their way to present the ''Toxic Bond'' award to Adaro Energy Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 8, 2024. Greenpeace Indonesia is stating through a press release that they are carrying out this action in response to the Dirty 30 analysis by Toxic Bond, which identified Adaro Energy Indonesia as one of the world's 30 dirtiest bond issuers, alongside other fossil fuel companies such as Exxon and Shell, with a bond value of US$750 million. Additionally, research from the Carbon Major Database indicates that Adaro is one of the companies accountable for 80% of carbon emissions since the signing of the Paris Agreement from 2016 to 2022. Adaro Energy Indonesia itself is a holding company engaged in business through subsidiaries in the coal mining and services sector, as well as renewable and non-renewable energy, utilities, minerals, mineral processing, and supporting infrastructure, with its headquarters in Jakarta.

Canna indica is a plant species native to Mexico, Central America, South America, and the West Indies. It is also known as African arrowroot, Indian shot, edible canna, purple arrowroot, and Sierra Leone arrowroot, and belongs to the family Cannaceae. The plant has naturalized in many tropical regions and is difficult to remove. It is also naturalized in the southeastern United States (Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina), and much of Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. The flowers are hermaphroditic. It has been a minor food crop cultivated by indigenous peoples of the Americas for thousands of years. The largest flowers are zygomorphic and threefold.
