Samples of the coloration of the conservation materials are presented at the major exhibition 'All the King’s Tapestries: Homecomings 2021-1961-1921' at the Wawel Royal Castle in Krakow, Poland on March 16, 2021. For the first time all 137 of the royal tapestries from the collection of King Sigismund II Augustus that are preserved in Poland are now open for viewers for six months.Tapestries from the leading Brussels’ workshops in the mid-1500s, range from monumental figurative textiles with biblical scenes, through verdures depicting animals and armorial tapestries, to small tapestries meant to cover furniture.
