The firefighting forces include firefighters, fire department vehicle, municipality workers, volunteers and a helicopter that drops water over the fire on the hills with bushes and illegally dump garbage place near the industrial area of Thessaloniki and the residential area near the settlement of Diavata and the village of Neochorodouda in Oreokastro and Delta Municipality assisting the ground force to extinguish the bushfire. A car trading company was burned along with the cars. Greece is having many fires, wildfires, forest fires etc as the country is facing a continuous heatwave and arid season with a month almost with no rain and high temperatures, creating a perfect for fire and natural disaster dry environment.
