Italian neo-fascist Stefano Delle Chiaie died on 10 September 2019 at a hospital in Rome at the age of 82. Delle Chiaie, founder of the National Vanguard (Avanguardia Nazionale) group, is considered to have played a major role in Italy's 'years of lead' (Anni di piombo) of social and political turmoil in the 1970s and 1980s. He was allegedly involved in the case of the 1980 terrorist bombing of the Bologna railway station, in which 85 people were killed, although he was afterwards acquitted. on September 12, 2019 in Rome, Italy
