Victims of Homeplus securitization short-term bonds register their personal information. Individual investors in Homeplus Asset-Backed Short-Term Bonds (ABSTB) write their personal information on a victim registration list during a press conference in front of the Financial Supervisory Service in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea, on March 12, 2025, urging the recognition of ABSTB as trade receivables and demanding priority repayment. They argue that ABSTB is not merely a financial investment product for profit but a transaction based on trust in the credit of Homeplus and credit card companies, giving it the nature of trade receivables. They also raise suspicions of misconduct by MBK Partners, the owner of Homeplus, pointing out that Homeplus continues to issue commercial papers (CP) until just before filing for corporate rehabilitation. MBK Partners (MBKP) is a private equity firm focused on North Asia.

A tamed Sri Lankan Toque Macaque (Macaca sinica) is looking at the camera at the Galle Face promenade in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on March 5, 2024. In the bustling streets of Sri Lanka, a traditional group known as Ahikuntaka is coercing a young Toque Macaque into performing circus-like acts. Despite its youth and visible exhaustion, which highlight the cruelty of its exploitation, the macaque is being forced to perform unnatural acts that exceed its physical and emotional capacity. This exploitation not only reflects the harsh reality of individuals selling innocent animals to make money but also perpetuates a cycle of exploitation. To address this issue, it is necessary to acknowledge and rectify the exploitation of innocent animals for monetary gain. Only through such actions can we hope to end this cycle of exploitation and secure a better future for the young Toque Macaque and all others affected.

Two men hold a banner reading 'Water is not for profits, water is for life'. People, activists from XR, soulevements de la terre, Eau secours 31 amid other collectives organized a march in Toulouse to denounce the public works industries as they operate gravel quarries in the phreatic tables of the Ariege and Garonne rivers. They also marched in support of the 9 hunger strikers against the building of the highway A69 between Toulouse and Castres. They stopped in front of the Conseil Regional Occitanie and in front of the Prefecture of Occitanie. After extracting sand and gravel, public works industries put public works waste in the quarries thus polluting the ground water with aluminium, polystyrene, concrete, etc. These phreatic tables are already running low due to the persistent drought in France and they are used for drinking water of Toulouse amid other towns along the Ariege and Garonne river. This water is also used for irrigation. Toulouse. France. September 24th 2023.
