A health worker collects a nasal swab sample from Railway employees, for Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT), at Central Organisation for Modernisation of Workshops (COFMOW), on November 2, 2020 in New Delhi. India recorded 45,231 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the country's overall case tally since January surged past 82.29 lakh. India is the world's second-worst affected country after the United States, which has nearly 92 lakh infections and logged record 1 lakh-plus cases in a day yesterday.
