Maciej Topolski is winning the award for the best translation of a volume of poetry into Polish during the Wislawa Szymborska Award Gala at the Juliusz Slowacki Theater during the Milosz Festival on July 7, 2024, in Krakow, Poland. The Czeslaw Milosz International Literary Festival is the largest literary festival in Poland. This year's slogan is 'Salvation'. The festival is including meetings with poets, writing workshops, and poetry slams. At the end of the festival, the Wislawa Szymborska Award Gala is being held, during which Magdalena Bielska is receiving the award for the volume 'Guide for the Recently Dead'.

Several hundred protesters gathered in front of the Sejm, the Polish parliament to protest a presidential decree which invoked a state of emergency along the border region with Belarus. While proponents argue that Poland is under threat of a hybrid war by Belarus which is pushing migrants from the Middle East over the border opponents argue the law is a political tool resulting in further abuse of vulnerable people. Poland has been accused of illegally pushing-back migrants sent over the border by Belarusian forces in recent weeks.

On 6th July 2021, second-highest in death tolls and highest in new cases(163 deaths with 11,525 new cases) in a day in Bangladesh since the pandemic began. All departments of the law enforcement battalion are implying several legal actions so that general people stay home. In reality, the number of people and vehicles increased a lot.
