A large number of export commodity vehicles are ready to be shipped by car ro-ro shipment, August 6, 2023, at the port of Yantai, Shandong province. Data from the Ministry of Transport show that in the first half of 2023, China's port cargo throughput reached 8.19 billion tons, an increase of 8 percent year-on-year. Among them, domestic and foreign trade throughput increased by 7.6% and 8.9%, respectively.
