Supreme Court Police pallbearers carry the casket of retired Associate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court, between two lines of her former law clerks as she arrives at the Court to lie in repose in the Great Hall. Justice O’Connor was appointed by President Ronald Reagan and died December 1, 2023, at the age of 93.
