After walking approximately 580 kilometers, pilgrims can be spotted around the Nidaros cathedral, the endpoint of the Scandinavian pilgrimage 'St. Olavsleden'. Construction of the cathedral on top of St. Olav's tomb began in 1070 and it soon became a destination for pilgrims who sought comfort and help. Near the cathedral, hikers can find the 'Nidaros pilgrimsgard', the place where the pilgrims after collecting their stamps can get their diploma also called Olav's letter.
