Small groups with their faces covered and hooded threw stones, glasses and items to the police and the riot police units arrested a person. Then the group started again throwing items and police used excessively tear gas and stun grenades to the area near the concert, where almost 5000 people attended. Tension existed inside the AUTH campus the past days. Thousands of people fled to Egnatia because the atmosphere was suffocating from the chemicals and the concert stopped. The clashes continued in the campus and then in the city center in Egnatia street. Police used the water cannon vehicle to disperse the protesters.
