NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators and NYPD detectives photograph, mark, and collect evidence, including electrical cords, the suspect's wallet, an apple, and other items, where 64-year-old Juliet Kashidas-Singh is killed by a former employee over back pay in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, United States, on March 1, 2025. A 64-year-old woman is killed Thursday and is left on the landing to her Ozone Park home due to a dispute over money. Juliet Kashidas-Singh is found dead just before 5:30 p.m. outside her home on 103rd Avenue in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, and when police respond, they locate her unresponsive and lying in front of her home, and EMS pronounces her dead at the scene. An autopsy performed by the medical examiner finds blunt force injuries of the head, neck, and torso to be the cause of death. The injuries are consistent with strangulation and beating. 40-year-old Francisco Sevilla is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Detectives believe the dispute is over $300. Sevilla works for the victim in her construction business and apparently thinks he is owed money. ''It's a straight-up dispute over back pay; fortunately, the suspect leaves his wallet at the scene, that's how we are able to identify him,'' says NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny.
