Rolona Brown, acknowledges First Lady Michelle Obama as her hero and that she is honored to introduce her at the “Joining Forces Veterans Day Luncheon”, in Washington DC, on November 11, 2015. Commander Brown was one of the female servicemembers featured in the Lifetime documentary “Women of Honor” Brown is originally from High Point, North Carolina, she enlisted in the army when she was 18 years old. During her distinguished career, she travelled the world from Germany to Korea with countless foreign posts. After taking time off from military service to raise her son, Brown reenlisted in the army in 2002 and served in Iraq. One of the proudest days of her life was when she was commissioned an officer. She is now a company commander at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
