A view of the newly opened Moynihan Train Station is seen on January 29, 2021 in New York City, USA. The construction to alleviate the congested Penn Station began in 2010 with an underground tunnel linking it with the Farley Building. Building of the train hall proper began in 2017 and was completed on January 1, 2021. The Beaux-Arts structure was named after the former U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the who had originally backed the plan.
