CMAC demining unit 4 headquarters, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Cambodia is still one of the most landmine-affected countries in the world. Over 64,000 landmine and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) casualties have been recorded in Cambodia since 1979.

Police officers conduct a technical identification of a pile of wood carried by a flash flood in Menang Gini Village, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, Indonesia, on December 16, 2025. This investigation involves experts in dendrology, dendrochronology, wood anatomy, and silviculture to determine the origin of the wood that is swept through residential areas following Tropical Cyclone Senyar. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirms that the National Police deploys 10,999 personnel to handle the disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. In addition to focusing on evacuations, the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) investigates criminal elements of environmental damage. Investigators also apply Money Laundering (TPPU) laws to trace the flow of funds from alleged fraudulent logging activities that exacerbate the impact of the flood disaster.
