A second model of the Antonov AN-225 "Mriya" cargo plane (L) at Antonov aircraft plant in Kiev,September 7, 2016. The leadership of Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer informed that second instance of Antonov-225 "Mriya" (Dream), originally developed for the Soviet Union's abandoned space shuttle programme, will be finished to built for China within the next five years. Ukraine's state-owned Antonov enterprise and Aerospace Industry Corporation of China (AICC) on August 30 signed an agreement to complete the world's second example of the An-225 aircraft and launch the large-scale Antonov-licensed manufacture of the said model in China, according to UNIAN Information Agency report. An-225 "Mriya" is longest and heaviest airplane of its kind ever built. Powered by six engines it is able to take off with a maximum weight of 640 tons and can lift loads weighing up to 250 tons.
