The rapid growth of California's Park Fire is continuing to threaten Butte, Plumas, Shasta, and Tehama counties. Cooler morning temperatures are helping to moderate fire behavior, giving fire crews an opportunity to fight the fire outside of the National Forest lands. However, decreased smoke on Sunday afternoon is creating a warmer climate around the fire, increasing activity. Sunday's incident report is documenting Tehama County acreage at 306,785 acres, and Butte County acreage at 53,356. The fire is currently California's largest active fire in the state.
