Two people are being shot, with one person being shot multiple times and killed in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 16, 2024. At approximately 3:17 p.m., Sunday afternoon on the 11500 block of S. LaSalle St., a 34-year-old male victim and a 59-year-old male victim are being approached by at least one unknown suspect who is showing a firearm and firing shots in the direction of the victims. The 34-year-old male victim is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and is being transported to the hospital where he is being pronounced dead. The 59-year-old male victim is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and is being transported to the hospital in serious condition. There are no suspects in custody and Chicago police are investigating. This is following another fatal shooting that is taking place in the same area, Father's Day morning at 2:32 a.m., where an unidentified male approximately 35 to 40 years of age is being shot several times and killed barbarically in an alley, and in that shooting, no suspects are in custody either.

OULX, Italy 03/10/2023 Migrants attempt to cross the border by moving through the woods, trying to avoid detection by the French Border Police.?On March 10th, 2023, a significant number of migrants, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa, attempted to cross from Italy to France through the mountain forests in order to escape the French border police (PAF). The migrants were trying to cross the border undetected between Claviere in Italy and Montgenevre in France, before continuing towards Briancon, where the nearest French train station is located. The Massi refuge's last stop in Italy before the border, managed by volunteers and an association, recorded an unprecedented number of daily occupants, exceeding 200 people. At the same time, the facility only had a capacity of 70 beds.

Pilgrims walking the Scandinavia trail 'St. Olavsleden' can realize that along the Swedish countryside cottages are painted the same exact color--a bright crimson red with white trimmings on the windows. The color, known specifically as Falu red, has been a consistent symbol of pastoral life in Sweden for the last century.
