A fire is happening at the Kahatex Factory complex in Sumedang Regency, Indonesia, on February 29, 2024. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Previously, the Kahatex Factory was also struck by a tornado on February 21, 2024, affecting 835 families, injuring 33 people, and damaging hundreds of buildings, according to data from the West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

Residents are cleaning up the rubble of their houses that were damaged by the tornado in Sumedang, Indonesia, on February 22, 2024. The West Java Province BPBD reports that the tornado disaster in Sumedang Regency and Bandung Regency has resulted in damage to 97 houses and 17 factory buildings, affecting 413 families and injuring 31 people who have been rushed to the hospital.
