Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 15th January 2016: One of its main avenues of downtown Rio was closed to create a boulevard. The Rio Branco Avenue in the city center will have a stretch of 700 meters that will only be accessible by VLT, biking or walking. With the closure of vehicular traffic, 82 bus lines will have changed its path. The VLT - Vehicle Light rail will be in operation in time for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
