In Krakow, Poland, on August 1, 2025, police participate in the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising at the Main Market Square. On August 1, 1944, at 5:00 p.m., the 'W' hour, the Warsaw Uprising begins with the aim of liberating the capital from German occupation before the Red Army enters. The uprising is supposed to last a few days, but it falls only on October 3 after 63 days of fighting. Between 16,000 and 18,000 Home Army soldiers and between 150,000 and 180,000 civilians die, and the city is completely destroyed.

An ambulance with a victim inside has sirens blaring and lights flashing as it attempts to drive to the hospital. Three people are shot and one person is injured in a stabbing following the Bronx Dominican Parade on Grand Concourse in Bronx, New York, United States, on July 27, 2025. A 19-year-old man is stabbed in the hip, a 24-year-old man is shot in the buttocks, and a man and a woman, both 19 years old, are shot in the neck and ankle. Prior to the gun violence, Mayor of New York City Eric Adams, who is still wearing a Dominican cap after attending the parade, stands with the police commissioner and others at the 42nd Precinct to thank police officers for seizing guns.
