The world famous violinist Vasko Vassilev performs in the Palace of Culture and sports in the Black sea city of Varna, Bulgaria as part of his national concert tour, on November 6, 2018. Bulgarian violinist and conductor Vasko Vassilev is Concert Master of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. He is also Artistic Director of the Soloists of Covent Garden, London Chamber Orchestra and Laureate, an orchestra he founded made up exclusively of international prize-winners. For the tour in his home country, the Bulgarian Violinist has invited Soloists of Covent Garden like the Assistant Concert Master - Florence Garel, First Violins - Kaoru Yamada, Bass player Tony Hougham and also the amazing bandoneon player Gilberto Pereyra.The program that Vassilev has arranged includes music pieces from Vivaldy, to Astor Piazzola, from Jerome Kern to the popular nowadays singer LPq as well as interpretations of AC/DC, Ennio Morricone and many more. The city of Varna is the first one to host the Bulgarian tour, soon to be followed by Ruse, Plovdiv ans Bulgaria's capital Sofia. Vasko Vassilev was born in Sofia and first began studying the violin aged five. He trained at the Moscow Conservatory, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music. He was appointed super soloist at the Lyon Opera House aged 21 and appointed Concert Master at the Royal Opera house aged 23. In 2005 he made his British conducting debut at the Royal Albert Hall, and was appointed Creative Producer of the Royal Opera House.
