The Long-tailed Shrike Or Rufous-backed Shrike (Lanius Schach) Is A Member Of The Bird Family Laniidae, The Shrikes. This Typical Shrike Is Found Widely Distributed Across Asia And There Are Variations In Plumage Across The Range, Favoring Dry Open Habitats And Found Perched Prominently Atop A Bush Or On A Wire. The Tail Is Narrow And Graduated With Pale Rufous On The Outer Feathers. Subspecies Erythronotus Has The Grey Of The Mantle And Upper Back Suffused With Rufous While The Southern Indian Caniceps Has Pure Grey. A Long-tailed Shrike Was Sitting On A Branch Of A Tree On A Waterbody At Kaliganj, West Bengal; India On 30/01/2024.

Due to its wide distribution, it is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. It inhabits forests and wooded wetlands. Among the four living species of fish owl, it is the most widely distributed, most common, and best studied, occupying a range of over 7,000 km.

The red-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is a resident breeder across the Indian subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Bhutan and Nepal. They breed from June to September and lay two or three eggs in a typical clutch. Nests are small flat cups made of small dry twigs and spider webs, but sometimes making use of metal wires. The eggs hatch after about 14 days. The eggs are pale-pinkish with spots of darker red more dense at the broad end. The female lays eggs in 2-3 days. The red-vented bulbul bird lays its eggs in a nest hidden among the leaves in the forest at Tehatta, West Bengal; India on 06/06/2023.

The red-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is a resident breeder across the Indian subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Bhutan and Nepal.
