On Saturday morning at approximately 2:46 AM, the victim, a 35-year-old man, is in his vehicle when he becomes involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male suspect who is also in a vehicle. The victim exits his vehicle, and the suspect displays a firearm and fires multiple shots at the victim from inside the vehicle. The victim sustains multiple gunshot wounds and is transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is pronounced dead. The suspect flees the scene. There is no one in custody, and detectives canvass the area during daylight hours attempting to seek out witnesses and information about the shooting.
