Demonstrators take part in a protest in Athens, Greece, May 22, 2016. Approximately 11,000 demonstrators, according to police estimates, participated in the rallies staged by labor unions to protest against an omnibus bill. The critical multi-bill containing the last set of prior actions demanded by Greece's creditors to complete the first review of the Greek third program, unlock the next bailout tranche and open the way to debt relief talks was approved by the majority of Greek legislators on Sunday.

Future talks on debt relief for Greece will focus on the debt's net present value, Greek deputy central bank governor Ioannis Mourmouras told a business conference on Tuesday, 1st December 2015. He also said that once Greece completes reforms agreed with creditors under the first review of its bailout program, it could benefit from the European Central Bank’s bond-buying program.
